PvP & PK

HUD swords, Skulls, player combat and the consequences of PvP death.

Choose when to attack

The swords sit to the left of Settings on the HUD. PvP OFF prevents your attacks against players; PK Only allows attacks against active criminals; PvP ON allows player attacks under the world rules.

Both characters must be level 20 or higher, alive, on the same map and outside Protection Zones. PvP OFF does not make you immune to attacks. Your mode resets to OFF when you sign in again.

The swords beside settings cycle with each click: white (PvP OFF), green (PK Only), red (PvP ON), then white again. Login always starts in PvP OFF.

Your Skull appears below your level

An unjustified attack gives a White Skull for at least 60 seconds. Unjustified kills accumulated while your PK state remains active increase the penalty. The durations below start from the kill and never shorten an existing longer penalty.

Self-defense: if João attacks Fernando first, Fernando can retaliate against João without a Green Skull. If João attacks Jubileu and Fernando joins by attacking João, Fernando receives a Green Skull. Defense rights belong to the victim and renew during that fight; third parties do not inherit them.

All five skulls share one size and appear below the level. Remaining PK time appears to the left of the HUD swords.

White1 unjustified kill10 minutes
Yellow2 unjustified kills15 minutes
Red3 unjustified kills30 minutes
Black4 or more unjustified kills60 minutes

Combat Lock and Protection Zones

Aggression renews Combat Lock for both players for 60 seconds. While locked, you cannot enter a Protection Zone from outside. Players cannot be attacked inside these zones.

PK clears only after both its timer and Combat Lock expire. Relogging does not erase a penalty: its expiration time is saved.

Revenge and justified combat

An unjustified death grants the victim 5 minutes of Revenge against the killer. Attacking or killing a PK, using valid Revenge, or retaliating against someone who voluntarily attacked your PK does not add an unjustified kill. Level, PvP mode and Protection Zone restrictions still apply.

Green Skull marks voluntary involvement against a PK. It is not a criminal tier and does not qualify as a target in PK Only mode.

Gold and equipment on death

On PvP death, all carried gold leaves your inventory. The victim’s Skull determines how much is destroyed; the rest drops on the ground. Gold stored in the bank is excluded.

Example: Black Skull carrying 10,000 gold

3,000 gold is destroyed and 7,000 drops in 14 packs of 500, scattered across available tiles. No gold pack exceeds 500. Equipment drops are limited to occupied slots; selected items are removed from the character and dropped.

These rules cover PvP death. They should not be assumed to apply to deaths caused by monsters.
